Since the VLC just runs through the music folder on my Windows 7 machine in alphabetical order, sometimes I'll end up hearing something I haven't heard in a while and I stick on it, which is cool.
Apparently today is the day I run through everything instrumental I have on here by Trent Reznor (and Atticus Ross). That's Ghosts I-VI and the MANY soundtracks he's done (Before the Flood, Bird Box, Gone Girl, Quake, Patriot's Day, Mank, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Social Network, Empire of Light, Mutant Mayhem, Watchmen).

Sonically distant yet also highly respected, Agalloch - In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion comes next. This whole album is a masterpiece for any fan of rock or metal music. Clean and rough vocals, post rock and bits of black metal, great lyrics, great album.
Thirdly, from Cascadia is Alda - Shadow of the Mountain. While the album has plenty of metal, this is an acoustic folk song.
Pick things up and go fast next with Slander - Shadow of the Night! It's time for some riffs and leather jacket ballads about lost love.
Last, anarcho-leftist hip-hop act Leaf - Southern Shadows. Very different from the rest of this list, the album is rooted in #idm.

Le jeu est médiocre, comme le furent souvent les adaptations de film en jeu vidéo, mais la musique est sans doute la plus belle de sa génération, tant que ça en devient étonnant.
Have you opened your cereal box? Did you find a CD with a game on it? Well, kids did in 1996, and they got a neat 3D shooter game called Chex Quest. It's based on DOOM and comes with some nice music composed by Andrew Benson that fits the cartoonish nature of the game perfectly.

According to a knowledgeable friend, Rimworld is a #PrisonArchitect -esque base-building game where you're stranded on a deserted island, or planet. Whatevs.
The soundtrack however is expertly composed, beautifully designed, and performed with a studied carelessness, much like a good jazzist would do.
Today is intense and it doesn't look like it's calming down anytime soon. So I need a #soundtrack to keep things manageable.
Planet of Lana is apparently a perfectly functional #puzzleplatformer game with cute overtones, so sayeth my friend by whom this #album was recommended. This #OST is... beautiful. Orchestral pieces normally have a natural grandeur and heft, but this manages to be delicate, deliberate.
Takeshi Furukawa knocked it outta the park. Bravo, sib. Good #music.
J'ai tout de suite adoré #Arcanum, dès sa preview dans #Joystick (lue et relue pendant, ça m'a marqué, des vacances de Noël 2000 curieusement passées à Nouakchott), puis en découvrant sa superbe boîte (embarquant l'#ost) et plus encore, évidemment, après y avoir joué ! Pour moi un classique à la hauteur des premiers #Fallout, visiblement pas si bon que ça quand je vois qu'il est beaucoup moins passé à la postérité. Call of the Sea is one of the best games I've played so far. Beautiful visual and a wonderful story, no doubts. It has optimization issues, but I really enjoyed every moment of it! The puzzles were amazing and so creative! If I could, I would write another ending too, though.
