This one was very personal. I'm a longtime fan of @neilhimself, possibly the nicest man on the planet and an astonishingly good writer.
So many artists and illustrators who have influenced me went into this. There's a lot of me in in two, parts of it are old art I drew nearly 2 decades ago.
Looking for book recommendations, similar to #TerryPratchett or #NeilGaiman. We really like their charm, wit and humour, and enjoy their quirky characters and world building. (Urban) fantasy prefered.

Posting this for the people who think that Tolkien's world-building was something complete and entire and finished before he started to write.
@oblomov@Chaft Well, having told my kid a lot of stories, I only know this: You don't need to be consistent from the start. Just start telling the story and stuff will just work out.
