Been catching up on all the Marigold stuff. Fields Forever was a fun event with one very MEH match. Kouki is one of my new faves! Bozilla was a crazy surprise, with the crowd getting behind her. Speaking of the crowd, they've been LIT!
Even moving on to Grand Open Wars shows, the crowd has continued to bring a passion that Stardom crowds are lacking at times.
I like that the camera work in match has the Stardom feel, and some of the presentation seems to incorporate Cyberfight, and TJPW in particular.
I think the promotion has amazing potential, and they already have 4 rookies in the works. Rossy still has it, and Marigold is looking bright!
Been catching up on Cinderella Tournament matches for Stardom... On the 4th night, and this is absolutely terrible booking. Even the match of Giulia losing her Strong Title, what a garbage finish.
So I did an ebay order of the BBM Women's Pro-Wrestling Ambitious! special card set. Got some great random pulls!
Miyu Yamashita's and Haru's, both of of TJPW, autographs. Got an EX pull of Ram Kaicho, and SP pulls of Hikaru Shida and Saki Akai. Two other limited pulls were Yuki Arai and Riho, and I got the limited acrylic standee card of Saree.
I actually do think the magical girl gimmick would be severely harder to put over in the US, so this is a reasonable decision for sure.
I have a hard time imagining her moving to the US permanently but she did say she’s never going back to TJPW regardless, which is sad to say the least.
We might see her in other japanese promotions though, which is nice.
Stardom's New Blood 11 was a solid, fun event. But that Stardom 5* GP Finals.... fantastic! Some great upsets, and a great way to cap off a 5* series that saw multiple injuries. Suzu Suzuki and Maika absolutely killed it. :ds_shinobuclap:
Now to relax for a bit before bed. Tomorrow night we'll be watching TJPW Wrestle Princess IV
@gnitro Still salty that Maika didn't win it, the crowd wanted it so bad. Suzu winning it feels like Rossy New Toy Syndrome™, but, I do love Suzu so I can't complain too much lol.
@GeekFTW Same as I wanted Maika to win after she lost her best friend to retirmement. But I don't think Suzu winning it feels like New Toy Syndrome, mostly because she busted her ass in Stardom since leaving Prominence.
She put in all the work necessary to showcase she absolutely wants to be there and be taken seriously in the company.
Watched the latest Ganbare Joshi event and it was an okay show. A couple really good matches, but the rest was just mediocre
Watching Sukeban now. The wrestlers are great as expected... but this commentary team is dreaful. Just doing a super poor jobs with names of moves, sometimes the actual wrestler names...
