Okay, I need a 32" TV for my bedroom. #HDR is a MUST! anyone have any NON-#SAMSUNG suggestions? NO NEED for #DolbyVision. Prefer #LG, but just need #LCD/#OLED that can hang on wall. TV is ~10 ft from head of bed - if that makes a diff. Only using w/AppleTV 4k Gen2. No TV tuner requirement.

Android 14 natively supports "Ultra HDR" photography and viewing. I hope the state of HDR accelerates on desktop Linux, especially "SDR dimming," which means rendering non-HDR parts of your display normally while displaying HDR content in a window (e.g. a photo preview).
Virtually all new phones will support taking HDR photos—whether HEIC/HEIF on iPhone or JPG with HDR on Android. It would be good to view them as intended on our computers!

Just wanted to watch a Blender video demo and unfortuately it was uploaded as HDR. This isn't a problem on non HDR screens but on my MacBook it is burning my retina.
HDR is not a good format for Application UI's the whites of the text and interface are stupid bright so a massive contrast issue.
