It's the end of September & that's my annual traditional time of looking for more new to me places to shore fish & catch shrimps from for Fall & Winter. Docks are too busy & I don't like too peopley places.
I spend lots of hours from late September into mid October - scouting out spots that I haven't tried seafood harvesting from before. I have fun finding the places & testing them out at night with my traps & wearing my headlamp.
One of the places I'm introducing my Mom to during our next mini getaway, is a place in Shirley that has tons of gourmet #Japanese#hijiki seaweed to harvest & process to cook with/dehydrate for homemade snacks! This one particular beach #harvesting spot has over 130 unique #seaweeds 😁 It's also one of the last remaining open clam digging spots on the entire South #VancouverIsland
