Ohhh nice! Might make a follow up blog post explaining how these things are done on the fly to acquire semiconductor information at the nanoscale. With a technique called Scanning Kelvin Probe Microscopy used with an #AFM with an electrically conductive tip and a lock-in amplifier.

I wonder if #LLM or other #AI use #FPGA lock-in amplifiers for their Fourier transforms. Coding must be really slow.

"HDMI CEC ARC/eARC issues If you are having issues using HDMI CEC with a MiSTer FPGA connected to your setup, there are some solutions to help you out. One solution involves cutting out a pin from a chip on the DE10 Nano board (Pin1 on U34). However there is safer solutions..."

It is now possible to go from a clean linux laptop with nothing but chromium installed to running Spade on an #fpga in less than one minute!

All the magic is done by @whitequark's http://yowasp.org/ which I just ported Spade to.

Give it a try! https://vscode.dev/github/TheZoq2/spade-vscode-toolchain-demo

GUIDE: All Analogue Pocket OpenFPGA Cores And Where To Download Them -- Time Extension (www.timeextension.com)

"The Analogue Pocket is a high-end handheld retro gaming system that uses FPGA technology to replicate the performance of classic gaming platforms on a hardware (rather than software) level, which means it's incredibly accurate. The machine runs physical cartridges for systems like the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance...

#fpga anybody in the FPGA fediverse have any experience with the CologneChip GateMate dev board? Being able to configure logic blocks as 8-bit LUTs, 2-bit full-adder or 2x2-bit multiplier seems advantageous for my application.

A takeaway from the #FediForum is people need ways to make money here.

Very little funding reaches fediverse developers. Regardless, they push forward because they believe in this idea.

Not to mention users that want to make a living in this space.

I support fedi projects and the people making them, even when those investments make it more expensive to be here.

It's worthwhile. It's not enough.

Wish I had a solution. But I'm happy to offer support to those that do, and hope you will too.

PythonLinks,
@PythonLinks@mastodon.social avatar

@box464 I am a big believer that the #fediverse needs to become an economy in order to grow rapidly. I know that people are against centralised monopoly corporations advertising here, and tracking, but i really hope that we learn how to allow small companies to advertise.

For example could I pay to show my CV to people who follow #fpga?

PythonLinks,
@PythonLinks@mastodon.social avatar

Here is a proposed business model for the fediverse.

I would offer $100 to my server admin, and the server admin of the person who found me a new job. Paid 1 week after I started work there.

This would help job seekers. It would help the server admins. It would help companies, find people smart enough to get off of the corporate media. It would attract job seekers.
Win win all around!

What do you think?
Should I try this when I start looking for an #fpga job?

Pretty good progress today. Managed to assemble 50 panels (200 boards) Bottom sides so far. It is the simpler side but I am glad the new stencil seems to prevent a short I was seeing regularly form between two specific capacitors previously. Will save me a bunch of rework time! #electronics #opensource #fpga #GlasgowInterfaceExplorer #manufacturing #smd

Glasgow back side with a bunch of passives mounted. Two 0402 capacitors are circled in red to mark the problem area that seems to be solved now.

@esden@chaos.social avatar

Continuing progress on the second general batch. Assembled a bunch of top sides, soldered in connectors and tested them. Putting on serial number stickers is the last thing before packing. We now have 120 Glasgows ready for the next batch. #electronics #opensource #fpga #GlasgowInterfaceExplorer #manufacturing #smd

A bunch of Glasgow boards on the table in the process of receiving serial number stickers.
