@djangoconafrica i wrote this after the inaugural PyCon Africa, since it was the first tech conference for many people. I think it may also apply to #DjangoConAfrica attendees.
Time to go home😔 I'm honored to have been the small part of the 1st ever DjangoCon Africa @djangoconafrica 🇹🇿🏝️💚 Thanks to all organizers and attendees, you're the best💗 I have lots of new friends🤝🤗 #djangoconafrica#django#python#africa
Well done to the social managers of DjangoCon Africa for the total coverage of the conference here on the Fediverse. 👏
Sharing images and information live during a conference is a demanding job and I know it well. 😅
For those like me who were unable to participate in this first DjangoCon Africa in person, it is wonderful to be able to follow everything that happens in Zanzibar. 🌍
@paulox@djangoconafrica I've made an aggregation of all the #djangoconafrica posts. Cool if you want to see which posts got the most stars or who the top posters were!
So many African developers have to work so much harder than those of us in Europe and the US.
At #DjangoConAfrica I'm learning first hand about connectivity issues and frequent power cuts; and I'm hearing about people having to begin programming with pen and paper because their computer availability was limited.
These developers have to work so much harder than I ever have, and yet they're so positive and driven. Huge respect.
For the 1st time on the DjangoCon stage giving a talk on lookups 🔎 Thanks y'all for joining me in Zanzibar 🇹🇿🏝️ (photo by @djangoconafrica 📸) #djangoconafrica#django
Before our first break, the Director of ICT in Education, Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar, Mr Mbwana Yahya Mwinyi paid a courtesy call as the Guest of Honor and gave the opening speech💫
