I don't understand why when I order something on #Amazon. on the product page it says get it tomorrow get it tomorrow. But then when I actually check out it says it'll be delivered on Tuesday. I don't know why they do that, but it's damn frustrating!

Apple Announces WWDC 23 Keynote and State of the Union
Even thought many people already expected it, Apple has confirmed that it will hold its World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) keynote on June 5th at 10am Pacific time, or 1pm Eastern time.
Finally found an English language bookstore (in Milan) that sells used books in English (and is close enough to the Duomo that I can sometimes get there after work).
More than buying books, it finally seems I have a place to donate my used books, which will be a relief for our bookshelves 😉
People are shocked when I tell them there is no similar bookstore in Bologna (a university town through and through.) Welcome to the world Amazon has created.

Like Jeff's #Amazon did before. Taking away oxygen from the rainforest in times that it was still often in the news, because we cared about its health. Now a corporation is more popular online than the rainforest once named "the lungs of the earth".
So the new Instagram text thing is reported to have ActivityPub support and instead of being happy at all the new labor that could potentially be coming to the standard, Mastodon people are now actively encouraging instances to not federate with any of that stuff. K.

There are multiple virtues in play here. Consider that I boycott #Microsoft for 50+ reasons. Let’s say MS wants to do something good & they make changes so 5 of the reasons I boycott them go away. Well I’m still boycotting MS for 45+ other reasons. FB, #Cloudflare, MS, #Amazon, Twitter, etc, are socially detrimental & abuse the data they get their hands on to the full extent possible.

Shortly after sending the email, the staff member rushed to the school's resource officer and principal to report that he'd unintentionally sent a link copied from #Amazon to the students
