I had a blast creating a blizzard in a crystal tea cup! It's not often that we get snow here in the valley of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The snow scene I made has muted and nearly monochromatic colors, just like typical snow scenes. ❄️🏔️

Recently it has been so cold here that even the sea froze… with the very low winter-sun that added to a very special and magical coastal atmosphere that is still in my mind two weeks later.

It was a chilly winter day when we explored the breathtaking Tahquamenon Falls in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Despite the cold, the mighty Tahquamenon River was flowing rapidly, unfrozen by the winter temps. The snowy landscape added to the overall frigid atmosphere of the scene. ❄️
