Built the #Commodore#VIC20 weather cartridge to show at #VCFSW 2023 from Jun 23rd to the 25th. Special thanks to my wife Svetlana Cherryhomes Kozlova for being my hands; soldering the PCB. It works great, and shows that #FujiNet works everywhere, even on memory constrained systems like the 5K #VIC20.
I have decided to do one final run of the original version of the WME64 wireless modem emulator for the Commodore 64, 128, and VIC-20. It will be a batch order with about a two week or so lead time because I need to order the parts, so if you are interested, here is a good place to let me know. Each one is $40USD plus whatever shipping costs to your address, comes in a 3D printed case with colour label, and is compatible with any program that can use a user port modem, at 300-9600 baud.
Getting your order in now will get you your modem first, before it goes up for sale on Tindie or anywhere else.
#FUNFACT When you pre-order something from TFW8b. You are in fact paying for a product that I've already paid for. Nothing drives a project like this on than using your own cash to fund it! And this is why TFW8b doesn't do #Kickstarters!
I have been tweaking the logic of the Keeper in my #VIC20 port of Hungry Horace. It's coming along, but I've found some cold places that the keeper seems to not find. #retrogames#development
It is possible you don't have "forgotten VIC-20 games" high on your priority list, nor a company so obscure we aren't sure what the name is because the logo is ambiguous. But I wrote about both anyway:
Checking #Mastodon posts on a #Commodore#VIC20? Yes, with #FujiNet. Built in HTTPS protocol support, along with JSON make parsing complex web services easy, no matter the language, because it uses KERNAL I/O for everything. #retrocomputing.
So, I'm Robb. I'm a mid 40s retro and modern gaming nerd from Manchester in the UK. I got my first computer, a C16 way back in the mid 80s, and haven't stopped loving them since.
@darth Agreed, I went for a #vic20 over a #zxspectrum, and had a great couple of years writing #BASIC games for it and a bit of #6502. Eventually I went for a Spectrum as the software just faded away for the Vic.
