Labour’s plan to boost care workers’ pay ‘could cost taxpayers billions’
Another day, another Article in The Times promoting the Tufton Street cabal who re unwilling to contribute to society but very eager to leech from the public purse. Intriguingly, they are called out on it (‘fink tank’ and paper) by all of the comments as of Sunday morning.
How easy is it for the junktanks on Tufton Street to be Downing Street’s outriders and put completely bogus ‘research’ into the rightwing papers of the UK about #NetZero? And do they get away with it?
Transparency as to who funds your research is a basic given in the world of academic university research. I know because I worked for over a decade as a research administrator helping academics to get funding and report their findings as well as spending.
That’s why I find the Tufton Street junktanks who claim to carry out research and policy work so dubious and I’m stunned at how their place in our modern political system is unquestioned by the mainstream media.
Next time you’re watching BBC Politics Live and they have a pundit on from a junktank, note down the organisation and check how transparent they really are here:
It has been long understood that the use of the word democratic in a state's name is a good indicator that it is anything but. Witness the Deutsche Demokratische Republik (t East Germany) and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
We must to accept that any British organisation with the name ‘Research’ in the title must assumed to be anything but. Beloved of Tufton St, the Northern/European research groups represent an absence of any. #TuftonStreet#Gaslighting
@Peternimmo It is worth while reposting the very interesting link that was posted in a previous discussion about Restore[sic] Trust By Bob Parson which discusses the origins if not the motivations for the Tufton Street Bar Stewards.
