@ProfLouiseL glad I saw this. I forget the mail to vote. rejoined last year to make sure I could do something to stop these. Recommended not including these? Got it. Last time waded through the names to see who was who, took a while.
@JeffMorgan National Trust introduced a 'quick vote' option online, which is basically to vote once for the candidates (and motions) the National Trust supports. Restore Trust are furious, claiming it's anti-democratic (i.e. it stops people being misled into voting for candidates who look plausible in their statements but are actually frothing anti-woke activists). Too bad, huh? 🤣
@ProfLouiseL@JeffMorgan make sure you vote with the board on the other vote as well, not just the ‘five people to join the baord’ (forgot what it’s called) but the Restore Trust is trying to get rid of the ‘quick vote’ as well. I read the stuff and voted with the board for that too.
@vicgrinberg From memory all you need is your membership number to log in to vote, and then you can opt for the quick vote to support NT-endorsed candidates. I think that's at least 3 extra votes I've knowingly drummed up today so far. 😀
@ProfLouiseL I also passed this on to my friends in London (who are the reason I have the membership on the first place as I did visit them earlier this year).
