Trying to recoop after getting triggered last night from something completely insignificant
To my #CPTSD it was the end of the world and I just collapsed mentally hyperly aware of how ridiculous it would look to anyone else not feeling what my nervous system was feeling
This is my life as a #TraumaSurvivor and today I'm paying for it with 11/10 physical pain
Outside taking a chance on a new #therapist looks like nothing, taking a chance to tell a friend I am fucked up and need help looks like nothing, taking a chance and trusting anything or anyone even myself looks like nothing
The truth is I'm moving mountains with an #invisibleIllness that I battle everyday and as my physical body grows weary with lack of food and safety it only makes the battle more steep and intense
Imagine knowing things that can help your depression and #SuicidalIdeation but not having the means to even do those things because you're facing #eviction#poverty & #disabled
Now imagine being responsible for someone else's quality of life and knowing what would help them too and same issues

Today a fantastic therapist I follow on Insta and on #Youtube posted about oversharing - something that a lot of #ChildhoodTrauma survivors struggle with when navigating life
I'm very much the opposite
I've always hidden most of myself - I mask heavily because being myself was always dangerous for me and Mom too
I started seeing the great need of #SuicidePrevention and awareness as someone who struggles silently and has struggled since I was 8 years old
My peers are my 1st line of support until I can reach my therapist if the crisis goes on - it's something I've had to do when my mental health got worse
My new therapist asked me to make a safety plan - I already had one - listing out safe friends to ask for help, crisis lines and listing her as well

I'm incredibly saddened by last week's suicide of only son of a friend & how such a young man felt the only way out of his seemingly non-ending living pain was to kill himself. I'm so fucking upset that BC healthcare failed him. I'm so fucking upset that BC healthcare failures for over 30 years has resulted in me having to bury so many young victims who begged for a long time for medical help & never received the essential help they needed.
I'm BEGGING for everyone in BC & across #Canada to DEMAND that #MentalHealth be added to ESSENTIAL #HEALTHCARE#FEDERALFUNDING & FORCE PROVINCIAL GOVTS TO PROPERLY INVEST FED FUNDS GIVEN - DIRECT TO MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES & DEVELOP LOCAL MENTAL HEALTH COMMITTEES STAFFED BY PAST & PRESENT PATIENTS!!
