It's #StarWarsDay but I'm not feeling like celebrating because it's also #EarthOvershootDay for Germany. From Friday onward, we Germans consume more "Planet" than we have. For the US, overshoot was 13 March, for the world as a whole it'll be 28 July this year. As a species, we almost need 50% more Earth than we have. This is unsustainable. We need political and personal action: reduce and refuse consumption, repair and recycle, start caring for our human and non-human others.
It's focused on the #SequelTrilogy era - and you are trying to break into a First Order-occupied bacta plant. Can you feel the excitement? Yeah, I couldn't either.
I want to see a series about the creatures of the Star Wars universe, narrated by David Attenborough (though I doubt he would do it).
Every episode could be a different planet. The Hoth episode could have wampas and tauntauns and the Tatooine one could include banthas (though they're not native to Tatooine), Krayt dragons, womp rats, the Sarlacc, etc. That would be so cool.
The "Choose Your Own Star Wars Adventure" books were the final #ChooseYourOwnAdventure books Bantam published before retiring #CYOA. These were released in 1998 - the same year the series went out of print. The #StarWars prequels would debut the following year.
