Many #Texas#Panhandle residents whose dwellings and possessions burned in the region’s ongoing #wildfires may never financially recover for one simple reason: Their homes weren’t insured.
Interactive GIS map shows latest perimeter for #SmokehouseCreekFire and other fires in the Texas Panhandle. Click inside any perimeter and a display will appear with all the attribute data the GIS server has for the thing that you clicked.
Attribute data says Smokehouse fire has burned over 1 million acres and was caused by “Electrical transmission/distribution systems”.

I am specifically looking for people and orgs doing mask and air purifier distro and safe places for people to go to get away from wildfire smoke, but am happy to add other relevant resources as well.

Wind has been blowing out of the west and towards the east. Major wind shift expected. Later today the wind is expected to shift and come out of the north with gusts to 40mph. The entire fire edge along the south side could turn 90 degrees and start burning to the south. #SmokehouseCreekFire#TXfire#TXwx
