Art Not Ads are a group of #SanFrancisco artists who paste collage art on walls that are usually covered with obnoxious ads. Their favorite "gallery" are the walls on the old Big Lots store (3333 Mission). I've really enjoyed seeing their art in the neighborhood over the years, and I was glad to finally meet them in person today. Good vibes! #SFGraffiti #Collage #Wheatpaste #ArtNotAds

Murals from the corner of 18th and Mission in #SanFrancisco. These were painted on Saturday, May 11th as part of the Mission art walk. I believe they were sponsored by Ape_SF. #SFGraffiti #Murals #Graffiti

A large graffiti tag that says "Issue", which is the name of the artist. The text is written in a vibrant orange color, with a light blue background. The style of art almost looks electric.
A photo of an artist painting a mural on 18th and Mission Street. She is standing on a milk crate and reaching out with a spray can. Beside here is a large purple tag that fills the entire wall.
Two large murals on a wall. One shows a sliced up watermelon. The watermelon appears to be saying the artist's name, but I can't see what it says. It looks cool though. The mural on the right is by Todd The Bunny and shows orange flowers on rolling green hills. A few white bunnies are staring at some carrots sticking out of the ground.
A photo of people walking on the sidewalk and looking at the colorful graffiti on the building nearby.
A large mural on the wall near 18th and Mission St. It shows an orange blob with light yellow highlights. Inside the orange blob there are very faint lines creating abstract patterns. The whole piece is abstract, but it's signed by Shogun Shido and says "Free my folk!!!" under it.
A large paper that has been wheatpasted onto a wall. It has black line art on it that shows two kids playing with each other. They both are drawn in sort of an anime style, but are very detailed. The kids appear to be partly robotic, as their arms and torsos look mechanical. One of the kids appears to riding a sport motorcycle, but on closer look, the kid's body might be merging with the motorcycle. Text on the art says "I love you to the moon and back."
The corner of the building on 18th and Mission. This photo shows art that is being painted on the wall and isn't fully finished. One mural is of a pregnant woman with angel wings. The other mural is of a woman in a field of flowers. She appears to be mourning a child that is wrapped in a white blanket with red print on it. This mural is based on famous photo of a mother in Gaza that is mourning the death of her child during Israel's attack on Gaza. The background is green grass and the sky is red, which is a reference to the Palestinian flag.
A large graffiti mural that shows the top of a rose and a name written in purple with a bright yellow outline. I can't read what the name is, but it looks really interesting and curly.
A large graffiti mural in red, blue, and green. I can't read what it says, but it has elements of classic graffiti lettering with some sparkle highlights. In the center of the word is a red heart with legs and arms. The text "Happy Mothers Day" is written under the tag.

I've been noticing a lot of stickers with AI generated content in lately. Most of them seem to have AI-generated visuals in the background and some cool-looking text placed on top. A few say "Hairglasses", others have phrases like "Become wicker" or "Rusty Hoe, bear that load.".

A sticker that says "Hairglasses" in a psychedelic font. In the background is an AI-generated image that looks like three faces sort of blending together. There is a lot of hair on the faces (like they collectively have long black hair) and a few of the faces are wearing glasses.
A sticker that says "Cat-tenths. Cat tents" and has an AI-generated image of a cat in front of a spacey seen with lots of planets and the cosmos. It looks like someone took some time making sure the AI-generated content was cleaned up so it would look nice with the added text and fit onto a sticker.
Another sticker that says "Hairglasses". In the background there is a woman's head with long hair, but she has 4 eyes. And each set of eyes has glasses on. The image on the sticker appears to be AI-generated.
A round sticker on a post. The sticker says "Rusty Hoe" and "Bear that load" in a nice looking pink font in bubble letters. In the background is an AI-generated image of a few mushrooms and some sort of gardening tool. It sort of looks like a gardening hoe, but is a little wrong. You can tell that the sticker designer put effort into making sure the added text in the foreground matches the background images and colors. For instance, the pink of the mushrooms was used for the pink on the lettering. The sticker designer might have some skill with design, because they also make little edits to the AI-generated image like putting it in a circular shape with a black outline, but allowing parts of the image to bleed out of the circle. This makes it feel more intentional and makes certain parts of the image appear to pop out of the background.

is a street artist and sculptor most known for making these iconic clay faces. His work can often be found glued under bike racks in the Mission. See much more of his work (not just bike racks and faces) here instagram.com/brucehallman

Another sclupted face under a bike rack. There are brown leaves on the ground around it. The paint is a little faded, but there are also vertical lines running up the character's face with bits of blue and red on them.
A really aged and faded clay face that has been glued underneath a bike rack.
A pink face glued under a bike rack. This one has little fish that have been carved onto the face by the artist. The fish are painted light blue and run in a line going from the face to the forehead.
A pink face glued under a bike rack. This one has a light blue line running along it's eyebrows and another red line along it's jaw.
Another face glued under a bike rack, this one is completely grey. The eyes look a little different than the rest, with maybe a sadder or more tired expression on the face.
Another face glued under a bike rack. The paint on this one has also faded off, but the clay looks darker than the others. Like a brownish color, with a brown leaf on the ground nearby and the pedals of a bike can be seen above it.
Another face glued to the sidewalk under a bike rack. The paint has faded from this one, but the clay has a reddish look to it. The sculpted face also looks more aged than the other pieces, like it's been here a while. There are some scrapes and cracks on one side.

“Maybe Later”, a local artist and graffiti writer, gave me a padlock they had painted with their unique color palette. They had lost the key, so I picked the lock and have been hanging it on different fences around the neighborhood.

Maybe Later’s colorful lock hanging on a wire fence near Mission Street. You can see many pieces of graffiti on the wall behind the fence.

Reporting for jury duty today, and spotted this tag outside the courthouse.

I happened to spend a bunch of time with lawyers this weekend (at an un-conference called Chasing Wonder) and totally agree with this sentiment. Public defenders rock! #SFGraffiti #SanFrancisco
