@protonprivacy
Hey there, I'm looking for a hint on the usage of #ProtonDrive together with some office suite to edit files stored on the #ProtonDrive. I bumped into @CollaboraOffice which enables me to create and access the files from #ProtonDrive but when I edit the file, it doesn't save the changes. I need to create a new file and then delete the old one. Does anyone know of a better way to work with the files when using Google or MS solution for cloud stored files?
@protonprivacy is there a way to "copy" my photos from google to #protonDrive ?
I've downloaded to my computer and uploaded (as archives) to drive but they won't show in the photos tab.
My computer runs Linux and phone is not an option to copy all and upload.
Any hint, link, migration guide you can point me to?
@protonprivacy would it be possible to share a file or folder on #protondrive granting write permission with password protection? is there anything on roadmap?
@protonprivacy Could you make it an option to choose whether I want to start #ProtonDrive in Files or Photos … because personally I want to start in Files not in Photos, and with the last change it’s just annoying having to change tab on each start!
I just got the #Fairphone 5 and it's great and everything... but where can I locally store the pictures that I take? There is no folder whatsoever, just #googlephotos .... Good enough for me that I have #protondrive but it's not really optimal.
You can revoke access to a #GoogleDrive link at any time, but is there a better way?
#ProtonDrive offers a privacy-friendly approach by allowing you to set expiration dates and passwords for links, ensuring secure access to your files and folders.
Look what just landed in my inbox! This just made my day.
My Proton Partner application has been approved and I’m excited to be a new #ProtonPartner. Looking forward to getting all situated into the environment.
Now all I need to do is convince my wife to allow me to purchase @protonmail unlimited. Then I can move everything over.
I was hoping to wait for official Linux support to try Proton Drive, but circumstances* have driven me to try it sooner rather than later, on Windows. (I'm aware that rclone supports the Proton Drive API, so maybe I will explore that in the future.)
So far, Proton Drive seems to work quite well. I like how it uses the same online/offline file availability status indicators as OneDrive on Windows.
@protonmail Hi guys. I'm a paid Proton customer for 6 years now. I keep wanting to migrate from dropbox, but a major feature is missing in #ProtonDrive. ATM, your service only allows sharing a folder via a link for the other side to view/download files. What's missing is the ability to share a folder for both sides to upload files and maintain the said folder. I saw reddit discussions about this from quite a while ago. Is this feature upcoming?

Je viens de recevoir un courriel de Proton indiquant :
"Nous avons lancé la fonctionnalité de sauvegarde des photos pour l'application Android de Proton Drive. "
Super !
Est ce prévu sur IOS et si oui à quelle échéance ?
Merci #proton#protonprivacy#protondrive
Oooh. The free storage for #ProtonDrive is 500mb. Literally not even a single gigabyte. But, I have:
50Gb on Tresorit - free - Swiss
50Gb on Mega - free
12Gb on Dropbox - free
12Gb on PCloud - free - Swiss
10Gb on Koofr - free
5Gb on iCloud - free
15Gb on Onedrive Personal - free
And the Windows version of #ProtonVPN just told me I can't use P2P (LINUX ISOs, folks!) on the free plan. Wow. Value prop for the free version of Proton anything is literally nil. Bye bye.
