If I used #LLM's, I would ask them to find new lyrics to #Prince's famous song, #LittleRedCorvette majlking fun of her stupidity of wearing such a relatively unique garment to an #insurrection while condemning the participants of the #MAGA mob that stormed the #Capitol one #Jan6.

A #Prince story. Back in the 90s, when the symbol album came out, a local radio station held a lookalike contest for a prize pack that included front row tickets. Long story even longer, but I sing etc. and had big hair back then and I won (I sang Kiss). I got all of the CD’s, the tickets, and this jacket. It came in a box from Paisley Park. At the show, he came down the steps and shook my hand during a guitar solo 🤯 I’ve only worn it a few times, but I take it out to look at it ☔️
(1 of 2) #art / #history: i (stupid) wanted to keep it simple but there's something about prince rogers nelson (who died #otd in 2016) that pushed me towards excess - &, despite its critical roasting, i've always loved 'under the cherry moon'. prince in the south of france surrounded by delicious deco details? yes, please. if you know him at all, you'll understand why he still inspires such passionate tributes. #prince#mastoArt#music#minneapolis#vegan
On this day in 2016 the music world lost #Prince. My journey of discovery was a little bit unusual.
"Seems that I was busy doing something close to nothing
But different than the day before
That's when I saw her, ooh, I saw her
She walked in through the out door, out door"
I'm starting 2023 by posting #MyRecordCollection , adding to this thread one each day. These are the albums that made me who I am (for better or worse). That should last most of the year! I'm also updating the art, using techniques I've learned and developed since I began this series in 2009.
Realised I haven't done an #introduction post. So I guess this will be it.
I'm a middle aged human male (mostly, I think) residing on a somewhat disgracefully warming rock spinning through space. Oh, you wanted specifics? Very well.
I'm also a multi-award winning Australian tech journo, ex editor of most of the good tech publications you've probably heard of, currently a freelancer and always on the hunt for work.
I also do a podcast called Vertical Hold: Behind The Tech News -- look it up and subscribe!
In my leisure time I'm keen on retrogaming, Godzilla, coffee, terrible jokes, the music of Prince, Weird Al and Howard Jones, professional wrestling and cats. I write short fiction in my spare time, and I'm trying to learn Japanese, though I'm pretty awful at it.
