Twice this week I got off the car without turning it off! I felt so n00b (and stupid)! At least this was at home and nobody's laughing at me except myself and my husband 🤪 (and now you too)
The car beeped loudly and said that "key not in the car". That's when I knew it was still on (I had the key with me in my pocket)
The engine's so quiet, it wasn't obvious to me that it was still on 🫥
Okay, folks. Prep yourselves. Because of my backward ways, I have never seen a single epidsode of the TV series "Supernatural." Additionally, I know exactly this much about the show:
Two brothers fight supernatural stuff together.
So, help me out here. I'm about to start watching, from S1E1 onward. What am I in for?

I'm just playing around right now... but I'm trying to establish the relationship betwween things.... is an "article" what shows up as a "thread" in a "magazine?" And how does federation to Mastodon work? How are things subscribed, made visible, etc?
This isn't Twitter. There is no algorithm here for people who do not follow you to find you. The best way to have your toots seen is with hashtags (like these👇👇👇 ).

I am currently trying to talk someone through a #Mastodon signup. I get most of the issues for why it's the way it is. But still. Even for a very normal, integrated, software-savvy person, it's not at all a self-explanatory process. It's remarkably difficult to explain to a #newbie in a couple of comprehensible sentences why it can't be more streamlined and what the "next steps" are. Kinda frustrating.
Welcome, new and returning #Mastodon users! You are not only on the right side of #history, but also in for a much better experience than you had on the #birdsite.
If you need help with anything, please reply to this post and I will do my best to see that you get it. 🙏

Since I've been sending out so many #AltText reminders lately I thought I'd collect some data and revise/rework my pinned thread. If you include AltText in your posts, what client are you using? What steps do you go through to attach AltText to an image? #Blind#Newbie#A11y#Inclusion#Accessibility#Disability#Mastodon

I realise #Fediverse is an evolving co-operating culture with common protocol linking many things. No platform is trying to lock up all my attention in a walled garden.
I can have several accounts, use several platforms keep my circles across all & I'm free to move around.
On phone tablet desktop, I can have apps or open simple browser window +type my instance's name. Many ways to login & communicate across the #Fediverse
