Neil O’Brien (Con) says in the light of the supreme court judgment is it now clear that a new law is needed to override the Human Rights Act. Sunak says the government will go through the judgment carefully. It has already been working on a new treaty with Rwanda. So changes can be made, he says. But, if it becomes clear that domestic legal frameworks or international conventions have to be revisited, the government will do that, he says.
