It is the right of the Scottish people to determine our own future. Whether on EU membership, whether or not we want a monarchy, whether we want nukes on Scottish soil, whether we want to retain and expand our publicly owned NHS and more.
Why should we vote to continue London rule and being told what we can and cannot do?

@argv_minus_one @ginger_tosser @IndyRichard We don't have independence, and the Nukes aren't ours. We just get to be the target in case of war and the acceptable sacrifice in case of accident. There are no upsides.

When I was a teenager, we used to laugh an old folk who roared down the phone. Now I'm heading towards being an old person, and I'm completely bemused by the number of folk holding their phones at arms length and shouting their conversations in the street. Why have your phone on speaker in public places? I don't get it. Hold the damned thing to your ear and shoosht.

@Wen @russellt Hmm. Although, I did have an entertaining journey once with a lassy going on about a lovely first date, to her pal. The whole carriage was silent because we were all lugging in. Hopefully she's married the chap by now because he sounded lovely. 🤣

This is the bike lane along Aberdeen Beach. It enrages car drivers because cyclists never use it. I've never once been there when there wasn't at least one car parked right there. They also park on the zigzag line at the crossing. I've also never seen a traffic warden. I wonder if the two things are related. #BikeTooter

@AnthonyFStevens @Theriac @Wen @soren No, it was not. Origin was never the issue, and I have no idea how you jumped to that conclusion. There are loads of elected representatives who originated elsewhere in the world, never mind just the UK. People who have never been to a place for more than a visit aren't qualified to represent constituents. Why would a party need to resort to that tactic if qualified local candidates are available?

A Londoner who doesn't know the area, being shipped into Caithness because they presumably cant find anyone more qualified to stand is not in any way equivalent to a British MP becoming British PM.
