Interesting tidbit from the #DrupalCon Portland 2024 module development workshop that I taught: of the 21 students who were there at the beginning of class, almost half of them used remote IDEs almost exclusively!

@kreynen a consultant at work suggested our team check #Lando out. The UX is quite nice (mostly using in the context of the Acquia plugin), and IMHO very beginner friendly. We haven't removed the #DDEV config from our repos yet, but I don't think anyone on the team is using DDEV now. The ASCII art peppered throughout is a little cheesy but actually finding it a nice personal touch.
