It's almost aggressively bland for a game about clockwork automatons in 18th ct. France. I mean, it's playable, but...
There is no reason for this game to eat 60gb of my HD space. There is no reason why this game only should run on the lowest graphics settings on a midline gaming laptop released after the game came out.
It feels like they're trying to decorate a turd. This doesn't have the substance to need these specs.
Junk Drawer - fit the items in the drawers according to the scorecard to gain points. Quick and simple. I like this.
Comic Hunters - Draft to collect sets of comics to score points. I liked the various ways to get the comics and the decision on which collections to make.
Coole Sache. #rogally#gaming#discoelysium
It's #VGMWednesday, so here's my favorite Donkey Kong Country song out of any I've heard (and one of my top favorite pieces of music in any video game, EVER) - a fully restored version of 'Mining Melancholy'. Check out those choral voices!
The Philippines is a conservative Catholic-majority nation, and many queer folk there feel excluded by the traditional church. They're turning to Roblox Filipino Catholics (RFC) as a more inclusive place where they can practice their faith. @restofworld's Patrick Kho spoke to queer Catholics about how they're finding community, preserving heritage, and even changing minds in this new space.
ahright, in an hour, we'll be returning to the wonderfully educational parenting lessons of Kratos in #godOfWar#ragnarok, the row your boat edition :) Let's see if we can get past the bit I got stuck on in my previous playthrough, and have some fun along the way :) See you then, at https://twitch.tv/zersiax . #gaming#stream#twitch#selfPromo#goingLive
Ah, nothing makes me feel more alive than James Stephanie Sterling roasting a bad video game made by dark pattern worshipers! This one is Star Wars: Hunters, sounds like absolute trash, a case of as James Stephanie puts it, "grifter see, grifter do".
I hit RoboCop Rogue City hard on release. It's very slow but I found it to be incredibly faithful to the original film franchise, and great fun overall.
Looking back at it today and it's such a dark and gritty trip to old Detroit city.
I'm at a point where I REALLY REALLY REALLY look forward to #Paralives
Life By You, which sounded good at first, just look... weird with an exceptionally ugly art style*. Also seeing how Cities: Skylines made me... not buy it with all its problems I'll stay away.
*Honestly the art style look like amateur made porn games.
Wondering about popular original open source games awhile ago. Part of the wonder was that despite being more accessible in terms of cost, and sometimes in hardware requirements, it doesn't seem as though you see as much fan art, fiction, or discussion.
Wonder how much of that may relate to many of the more well known open source games being clones or, more simply, fan games in their own right.
When people say "#Linux#Gaming isn't there yet" what they really mean is "I haven't used linux to play games in well over 2 years now" cause Linux gaming has been a thing for a while now. I don't even check to see if games are linux compatible anymore, I just buy and browse like normal and expect everything to work. Things that dont work are the extreme minority. Posted from a linux desktop with an #Nvidia RTX card.
Do you also have this one game everyone appreciates as a masterpiece but you somehow don't get the point and lack the extraordinary fun while playing it? 🤔
So, please #DontCondemnMe but mine is Metal Gear Solid for PS1. Played it a couple of years ago the first time but stopped after a few hours. Maybe it was too hard or I'm lacking the required childhood memories, but I had more fun playing Splinter Cell back in the days.
I really recommend picking this one up, if you ever played any of the previous titles or just like #strategy or rather #sim and #citybuilder type games.
Pause to reflect on the controls of Defender, recognized as totally bananas in 1981, let alone today.
A 2D game where you move your ship up/down/left/right, except:
Moving up and down is easy - that's what the joystick does. But that's all! It’s a one-dimensional lever.
Moving left or right is… less easy. The Thrust button pushes you in the direction you're facing. To turn around, slap Reverse, and your entire POV on the playfield flips around the Y axis. Haha! https://social.pincade.com.au/@Dozer/112564302485875090
