Once again, The Spice Baron is hosting a Denver area Meetup on Aug 26th with (probably NSFK) anti-woke comedy, BBQ goats, and fun! We will also try to get a good audio report in for @adam and @Johncdvorak
This time we will be at our private ranch/urban farm at Oak and 72nd in Arvada, CO.
Mickey Windecker has finally been confirmed as working as an FBI informant. We called Mickey out in 2020 for being a pedo and likely being an informant, which resulted in him not showing up to protests anymore. Unfortunately, he had already entrapped a number of radicals. Mickey threatened to kill us in response to blowing his cover.
I just caught my first ever #lightning bolt. The storm over South #Denver is lighting up the night sky with huge bolts and I pointed my #fujifilmxt5 out the window on high-speed capture for 31 frames and got one.
Urban Putt Denver is, sadly, closing its doors. However, there is an opportunity to rescue a one-of-a-kind stand up arcade game/mini golf "hole" before it ends up in the scrap heap.
Bunker Blast 3000 was designed to resemble a retro 1980s arcade game. As a mini-golf hole, the game is played by putting into a ramp underneath the "arcade" display. Sensors inside the game read the ball's velocity and angle, and the game renders a virtual ball on the screen, rolling through a "game grid" like environment reminiscent of Tron. The game then kicks the ball out for subsequent putt attempts.
The unit is 36 inches wide and roughly 5 to 6 feet tall. It features a color display and custom software that exists as a one-of-a-kind homage to classic arcade games.
Here's the deal though: This unit needs to be moved THIS SUNDAY, June 11th, when the dismantling of Urban Putt will be going on.
If you know someone who wants, or you yourself want, a collectible and irreplaceable, fully functional and FUN AS HELL objet-d'art for your living room, barcade, or museum, my friend, Urban Putt CEO Steve Fox, will GIVE YOU the item at no charge, if you can bring enough people and a vehicle large enough to carry it away.
DM me for serious inquiries, only. No, it's too heavy to ship out of Colorado unless you're going to put it in your own box truck and carry it yourself.
Bill Gates Backs Secret Startup for Clean Energy Revolution
A Denver-based startup called Koloma has quietly raised $91 million to drill for carbon-free hydrogen that is continuously generated underground. If successful, this venture could accelerate the clean energy revolution and tap into a potential $1 trillion market.
They are making us come to the office for no reason so I am going to ride #transit for no reason. It's an odd #commute that takes a slow train and a fast bus and goes from the city into the burbs. #rtd #denver#wagonwheel#bus#business
What are your recommendations for some of the best or underrated breweries and places to grub in the west metro area right now? (esp. around Boulder, Arvada, and Golden)
It was peak-Covid the last time I spent more than a few hours in town, and prior to that 2018 was the last time we really explored around, so I want to get a flavor for what's good these days.
When we bought our home 15 summers ago, the backyard was basically lawn and Virginia Creeper. There wasn't bird song. Or pollinators. Just a lot of scorching Colorado (US) sun and Kentucky Bluegrass that wanted vast quantities of water in a state that historically doesn't have a lot of water. It wasn't a place where my melanin-challenged family could spend much time. #Gardening#Zone5b#Denver#BloomScrolling 1/7

I'm no money manager but it's cool to hear from the coach
