Financially the goal achieved through the pandemic "crisis" was for EU/GB/US to find an excuse to produce currency (trillions) without issuing debt, and without the freedom of other nations to do the same without facing major devaluation.
In other words those handful of nations robbed the rest of the planet, by controlling "markets" they present as "free". Then they used those trillions to feed the fat cats (banks/industries) and passed the tab to working stiffs of the world
What we see now is inflation on everything, an effect of producing currency without real value to back it up.
Global thieves utilizing #covid and the #crisis of the #pandemic to avoid a true crisis of global economic meltdown as maximum development was reached.
A planet burned down by capitalist domination and expansion with the poorest of the earth paying the consequences first.

A second administration official resigned in protest over the president’s approach to the #war, the same day more than a dozen campaign staffers in an open letter urged him to call for a #ceasefire as the #crisis in #Gaza worsens.

I was already having an #age#crisis when the skin around my eyes suddenly swelled up. #Today I found out why. The reason is not my age. I have urticaria for the first time ever. My neck also itches. Have you ever had this? 😮😮 #symptoms#finland
Senior Cuban officials have provided an increasingly dire snapshot of a deepening economic crisis in a series of televised prime-time appearances, revealing the extent of the downturn in unprecedented detail. Minister after minister have delivered the bad news as the import-dependent Communist-run country weathers a fourth year...
I wrote a book about it, but I can not do much about it, save raising awareness about it and give suggestions as how to prepare both mentally and physically for things happening and things to come in the near future.
All this did not make me a happier person. It is making me sick and depressed.
To keep 'up-to-date' I, just as many others around here, follow the news about war, ecology, more war, crises, pollution and the proposed solutions out of the pipe of technology (techno-fixes).
That neither helps or gives any relieve.
Watching shit, makes you feel shit, like this article explains:
I decided to detox on this and to focus more on things I can do that have a positive effect on me and hopefully also on the world at large.
I have new project in mind that I will advertise here soon.
(PS edit april 2024: not sure if I want to spend more time online instead of in the garden...)
Even before the war, Gaza faced the risk of military action from neighboring Israel and was often described as an “open-air prison,” which gives you a sense of just how bad things were in #Sudan when Palestinians began leaving. But unlike the one in Gaza, Sudan’s #humanitarian#crisis has largely escaped the world’s attention.
As the #crisis continues and worsens, the #RefugeeCouncil echoes the calls by #UnitedNations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Pope Francis, and many other world leaders for an urgent and immediate #ceasefire , for the release of all #hostages , and for #humanitarian corridors to open so that aid and assistance can reach the #civilians suffering in #Gaza
“I visited a school, hosting thousands of displaced persons,” Lazzarini continued. “The place was overcrowded. The level of distress and the unsanitary living conditions were beyond comprehension. Everyone was asking for water and food. Instead of being at school to learn, children were asking for a sip of water and a loaf...
A short NYT video (1-2 minutes) of interviews with displaced kids. At a U.N. camp in southern Gaza, children have been forced to flee their homes and live in squalid conditions while trying to make sense of a war with no end in sight.
Today in Labor History October 24, 1929: The NY Stock Exchange lost 11% of its value in one of the most devastating stock market crashes in the history of the US. It marked the beginning of the Great Depression, which saw unemployment in the U.S. rise to 25% and as high as 33% in other countries. Farming communities were particularly hard hit, with crop prices falling by 60%. The depression coincided with the Dust Bowl, further exacerbating the loan defaults and suffering in the Midwest. Hundreds of thousands of Americans became homeless, and began congregating in shanty towns that were known as "Hoovervilles." In 1933, Congress passed the Glass–Steagall Act mandating a separation between commercial banks and investment banks, in hopes of averting another similar crash. However, there have since been two stock market crashes worse than Black Thursday: The Black Monday of October 19, 1987, when the Dow Jones fell 22.6%, and the Black Monday of March 16, 2020, when the stock market fell by 12.9%. Both saw bigger percentage drops than any single day of the 1929 crash.
Is the world facing a “polycrisis”? Is there even such a thing?
The term is meant to describe "the world’s current tangled mess of problems — pandemic, war, climate extremes, energy shortages, inflation, rising authoritarianism, and the like."
