Trying to switch to Firefox, making solid progress. I made a theme, that is pretty close to Chrome, the address bar is white, tab is white (no borders). One thing still bugs me: Why is the Firefox tab not connected to the address bar?
I really would like it to be connected. It's such a minor thing though, that it's not a dealbreaker.

Up to now I thought that this was the standard procedure? If I look at #Chrome or #Cisco (to name just two) it seems true for me.

Anyone here seen #Chrome extensions with #DevTools panels just not display sometimes?
I'm seeing some really weird behavior recently I can't explain and would appreciate if anyone has experienced the same problem and could validate my sanity:
I started using #Firefox about two weeks ago, after being a huge fan of #Chrome. Chrome eventually became a huge memory hog, and quite sluggish.
This morning, FF couldn't connect to the network. I had live terminal sessions that were updating every two seconds, so the network was there. I decided to close FF, at which point there was a pop-up saying that it had updated, and needed to relaunch. That's something that Chrome did well -- inform the user of a required restart.
Honestly atp idgaf about what OS you use, but istg if you use a Chromium-based browser I will bug you about it frequently until you either switch or block me
I don't understand why, after so many, many years of the Chrome extensions website looking like a proper app store, and after quite a few years of #Firefox extensions using the same kinda technology as Chrome extensions, the Firefox extension site still looks just really terrible, and not having anything like the kinds of massive, app-like extensions that #Chrome has!? While at the same time #Mozilla is spending money on all kinds of strange stuff. I also never see anyone complain about this?
The fact that after EU passed Digital Markets Act, non-Chrome/Safari browsers begin to increase their share, shows that even a watered down law can make a difference. That's not to say it's all over – on the contrary, it's important to push further and make sure Apple/Google truly give people the choice – but the signs are so far positive https://www.reuters.com/technology/eus-new-tech-laws-are-working-small-browsers-gain-market-share-2024-04-10/
Therefore: With #Chrome, you only get a secure #browser when you pay money to #Google. Otherwise, you get a crippled product that exposes you to risks.
Switch to a #Firefox browser in order to get a browser that offers maximum #security by default.

Oh, and, BTW, does anyone know what the crash dump logs browsers generate are actually used for? None of the teams involved in helping me troubleshoot my crashes seemed to be interested in them nor did they seem to have any idea what they would do with them. #crash#Chrome#Edge#Google#Microsoft
W3 HTML Validator @ https://validator.w3.org is not working for me on latest #Chrome. Gets stuck in an endless Cloudflare verification loop. Works fine on other browsers (Brave, Safari, Opera, Firefox, et al). #bugs
