After another year of Hindu fundamentalists attacking and harassing Indian Christians, the worst state being Uttar Pradesh, Christians living in Kanpur and the neighbouring state of Madhya Pradesh said they celebrate Christmas under a shadow of fear. So worried are they about encountering a mob accusing them of orchestrating religious conversions, they no longer feel safe staying at church for a long time or carolling into the early hours of the morning.
#Christianity is about #lies and #cruelty. If you want more people to believe, you need to come up with a better #story. Because the story you're pushing is full of holes and #absurdities. And the people who most fervently spread that story are the most intellectually and morally #bankrupt people on the planet.
For those of you who think #Christianity 'co-opted' #Christmas from Paganism, you're very likely to be referencing 'Chasing the Sun' by Richard Cohen.
In that book, he misattributes a quote that is supposedly from the 4th century but is actually from much later.
That is not to say that Christianity hasn't appropriated any Paganisms, but to say that the 25th Dec was not relevant to early #Christians is not true at all.
