Today's project is re-writing Catalina for 8-bit support, but I'm having issues getting logging in to work. Or actually anything at all. Honestly this is just fever dreaming isn't it. Am I real?
The 128D is real, though, and one of the better looking Commodore 8-bit machines.
@breadbin and I are trying to get a ten-unit group buy together for Commodore 1581 clone PCBs. We need enough people to cover eight more of the order of ten PCBs, at $10 per PCB plus whatever shipping ends up costing from my local post office once they arrive.
These are unpopulated PCBs, they probably won't cost a fortune to ship one or two at a time, to be clear.
I have no need to make a profit from this, this is just a couple dudes looking to save some coin.
I have decided to do one final run of the original version of the WME64 wireless modem emulator for the Commodore 64, 128, and VIC-20. It will be a batch order with about a two week or so lead time because I need to order the parts, so if you are interested, here is a good place to let me know. Each one is $40USD plus whatever shipping costs to your address, comes in a 3D printed case with colour label, and is compatible with any program that can use a user port modem, at 300-9600 baud.
Getting your order in now will get you your modem first, before it goes up for sale on Tindie or anywhere else.
WinVICE is a program that executes programs intended for the old 8-bit computers. The current version emulates the C64, the C128, the VIC20, all the PET models (except the SuperPET 9000, which is out of line anyway), the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610)....
