And it's now online. A month of work. The latest and greatest in my five year great big graphics project widebanding some of the rarest datasets on the planet.
This one's the long spoken of exhibit #117 of 126, keyworded "RNA", 60 high resolution images of the only complete copy of this dataset known to exist.
Prior to just now to access an incomplete unindexed version of this dataset required an in-person visit to 1 of 35 secure facilities in Canada, USA or Scotland.
I tell you true when I tell you this is a freaky-ass story. In the fullness of time the @HalifaxExaminer, a fine and noble publication I wholeheartedly recommend subscribing to, will, Deo et compositor volente, one day publish the piece they commissioned five long years and counting ago.
In the meantime, breakfast, watching asteroid bits falling into the waiting scientists' arms (some's coming to Canada!) then eyeball exhibit #118 of 126. Cheers!
1/2 I love the playfulness in "Floatilla" by @measureless.
The description and metadata suggest an inspiration by "mouches volantes", the small floating dots that sometimes appear in our field of vision. Brightly coloured and translucent, the resulting images feel like a menagerie of charming balloon animals.
