These unofficial Mastodon accounts of space agencies are bots that merely share news items the agencies publish elsewhere, yet the accounts have quite a lot of followers:
I have to talk to ESA again about this. We asked about a move or at least starting activities in the Fediverse, but they didn't have any final discussions on this yet.
I've emailed both agencies in question but have received no reply.
JAXA, ISRO, CSA, ASI, and so many other space agencies would have a dedicated following on here - that isn't made up of bots - if they'd only open accounts (and preferably their own instance).
I've had this conversation with others about this too. It's quite frustrating.

You have a little typo that made me laugh: 1.4 followers for the ESA. Is the 0.4 follower very short, or does that person only follow 40% of the content, lol?
Of course it's actually 1.4K followers (I thought maybe it would be 1.4M, but Mastodon isn't that big yet).
