For all new (and "new" users), if you don't like the default Mastodon user interface, you don't need an app, there are web-based alternatives, here are a few I've been using…
@elkarrde Thanks for this post Neven. It's a journey that I've been on since joining Mastodon this week. For the web (I prefer web over native on my MacBook!), I actually really like the official MD app. Took me a short while to get used to it, but I kinda dig it now.
@beecham I've been using them all, some more, some less, and yes, agreed, the official web is actually quite good! I love the sheer possibility of having to choose - usually, that's not a given.
@BOOKidealist It's under "# Explore" (in the sidebar, on the left), then under tab "Tags". It's the same in both Elk and the default Mastodon UI, just named differently, Mastodon UI calls it "Trending now", but if you open that, it's called "Explore". 😅
@tomo Mreža isto ko i Mastodon, neke stvari su iste, neke malo drugačije; temelji se na ActivityPubu isto ko i Mastodon, tak da su potpuno kompatibilni, i pričaju jedan s drugim bez problema.
Isto tak tehnički možeš koristiti i npr. Kbin, Reddit alternativu na Fediverseu, i dalje možeš uredno viditi sve postove napisane na Mastodonu, Calckeyu, Lemmyju, Pixelfedu, Peertubeu, i ostalim kompatibilnim servisima. Više-manje svaka platforma ima svoju Fediverse alternativu, od Instagrama do YouTubea.

Nema nužno samo jedna alternativa, nisu čak često ni točno iste, Reddit ima više pandana (Lemmy je bio prvi, Kbin je relativno nova stvar, npr.), isto tak i Twitter ima više svojih "klonova".
@tomo Meni je ovak daleko bolje, mix'n'match onog kaj ti se svidi - koristim sve kaj sam naveo, sva tri UIa paralelno, app na mobu + mobile web, Calckey, dvije instance Pixelfeda i Kbin, i mislim da mi sigurno fali još toga. :D
Fedi je ko XML - ako imaš problema, ne koristiš ga dovoljno. :D
