I was confused too, but Wikipedia to the rescue, again :)
The 58 degree elevation is mentioned there as well, but with the added info that also the moon at this elevation (if close to full) can produce the same effect.
@airwhale@Adrenochrome@saeedwkhan the image posted by Amazing Nature is a photoshop job, as with most stuff posted by accounts of that type, but the phenomenon itself is real.
