A nice break in the #weather with cooler temperatures today. We'd been into the first period this season hot enough to warrant turning on the AC in the evenings before bed Tuesday and Wednesday.
Some intense midweek rain also put an end to the longest #tulips-in-bloom period I can recall, finally knocking the flower petals off. :(
The combo of the squirrels leaving them alone for a change, and stable weather had kept them intact – nice indeed!
NOAA just released its forecast for the 2024 Atlantic #hurricane season and everything points to a lot of storms, with 4-7 of them becoming major storms.
Severe thunderstorms are possible across a broad swath of the Great Plains this afternoon into tonight, with a few tornadoes and isolated very large hail. A concentration of severe winds -- some 75 mph or more -- is expected across a portion of the central Plains this evening into tonight.
