@cassidy if anyplace in the world needed it's worldview on colonialism shaken by art, Vail Colorado would be it. Danielle SeeWalker did this with their art without even painting anything in the town. So, mission accomplished. Disappointed they lost the residency opportunity. But hopefully it opens up other opportunities.
Fairly successful #aurora viewing tonight in #EstesPark#Colorado! Pretty cold and a fair amount of car traffic (which meant light in our faces), but got some good pictures. Pictures are more vibrant than what we saw with the naked eye, but it was still fun (and cold).
In CO, vast numbers of streams are temporary or ephemeral, flowing only after major rainstorms & during spring runoff season. The Sackett decision said only wetlands that had a surface connection to continually flowing water qualified for protection. Many wetlands in CO have a sub-surface connection to streams, rather than one that can be observed above ground.
With the passage of this bill, CO wetland & ephemeral streams are once again protected.
