Seeing how many people on fountain pen companion only have one or two pens, I'm very curious what those one pens are. I'm very curious what pens make people go "I like this enough to join a website for this very niche thing, but I don't need a second one."

Does anyone know someone who fits that and they're just very happy having a collection of one?

my one toot for the day: If someone says they don't feel comfortable going into a situation, believe them. Don't pressure them to go into something they're not comfortable with.

If they have a history of not liking crowds (especially after covid started and everyone decided to ignore it instead of actually doing something for the greater good), don't say "it'll be quick" find another solution.

#NewFountainPenDay and new ink day. Today's ink is Colorverse's #Nebraska /Great Plains ink from their USA Special Ink collection.

PS: Colorverse? Why you gotta do Nebraska dirty like this? No red sheen? Not even the state name on the bottle? 😢 I know there's a kansas and Iowa that are different colors so it's not like it just happens to be one ink for all of the fly over states.

#FountainPen family: When you have a cartridge/converter pen, do you prefer using a converter or a reusable cartridge?

I've generally found converters to be more kind to me, i don't need to have anything extra to fill it up and cleaning it is very simple.

When I went on my vacation for the eclipse, I inked up a bunch of #fountainpens so that I wouldn't have to travel with ink bottles. Turns out that for a long weekend, it was WAY TOO MUCH INK. My Vac700s look barely used, my Light of Hope wasn't touched at all, and my Nebulous Plume (which accidentally went out with me) is the only one that really shows it got used (converter is about half empty now).

I'm looking at my #FountainPen collection and what other pens I want, and it feels weird to say, but I think my collection could be basically complete by the end of this year, maybe next. I'm not looking to have a billion pens and collect every safari/al-star or similar. It's also kinda amusing to me that of all the pens I want to have, TWSBI is just under half. What can I say, I love the features and minimalism. TWSBI speaks to me.

got my #fountainpens inked up for my upcoming trip to eclipse totality zone. I'll be taking three pens with me, a Hong Dian In the Light of Hope <EF> pen inked up in Penbbs No. 95 purple, my TWSBI Go <EF> inked up with PenBBS No. 16 Green, and a TWSBI Vac700R inked up with PenBBS No. 114 Red.

Really trying to get this cheaper ink used up. Since I'll only be gone for a few days, I'm not going to worry about taking any ink bottles with me.
