I officially don't understand #Niantic/ #PokemonGo pokestop nominations. At the beginning of the month I submitted my first nomination, it's still 'In queue'.

The next week I submitted several in a local park. 1 was very quickly denied with no reason given (it's a park bench).

I don't get why the bench was denied, and I don't get why it jumped the queue in front of the ones that came before it.

the need to vent is quite strong this morning. This week is going ot be so full of drama that i'm already tired for the rest of the week.
Drama pt 1: My coworker (who's new, been working with us for about 2 months now i think) is wantint to go to a local convention. he was going to take vacation time but our supervisor said that he could use flex time for it and work a day he'd normally have off to cover the time (if i was ok on my own for the day he'd have off, which is no problem). #drama

Don't ever talk to me about people in Mars. It ain't happening, at least not in any of our lifetimes. We can't even go to the fucking moon which is right next door. If y'all can't get prime on the moon, don't waste your breath talking about going magnitudes further.

And until SLS is actually taking people to the moon, it hasn't done it yet. With how volatile NASA's manned space program has been since the shuttle retirement, I expect SLS to be dropped for a manned Venus or Sun landing.

I know there's been a thousand opinions already put out so I'm mine probably doesn't matter, but....

I don't care if it's #Threads, #BBC, #tumblr, or whoever else comes to the fediverse. Every instance is entitled to federate or defederate with who they want. I don't necessarily agree with groups like dotArt silence defederating with bbc.social, but I understand their reasoning and it's fully in their rights. Threats and attacks only tear the fediverse apart and make us look bad.

Watching #DoctorWho s01e02, it's quite impressive just how much rests on the Daleks having some mercury. Like, the Doctor gets rid of all of his mercury and makes the TARDIS non-functioning. If the daleks didn't have mercury, there'd be no way for them to ever leave Skaro.

I can tell I've gotten super cynical re: technology and gadgets in my 'old' age (about to turn 28). I just watched a review of the #applevisionpro where a guy goes walking in times square with it and all I can think about is how dorky and unfriendly it looks. People have been complaining since the beginning of the touchscreen only phone age how difficult it can be to type and do things because you can't feel the buttons. You have no tactile awareness with a touchscreen....

#FountainPen firends. Does anyone have any recommendations for refillable notebooks and paper refills? My big thing is that i'd like to get paper from a source I can also get more ink bottles from so that i don't have multiple shops to remember. I keep seeing Traverler's brand and they use...non standard sizes so i'd be more or less locked into buying their paper which I don't want to do.

having a pen holder built in would be a plus, but isn't required.

My Official review of the Endless "the creator" retractable #fountainpen

For a $50 pen, it feels cheap. I'm not sure who this is for. There are better beginner pens at the same price that are less fragile. Other pens like the TSWBI Classic or Diamond feel far more premium for the same cost.

I don't know if I've broken something, but the converter is very loose and when I looked to see how much ink was left, it moved enough to leak a large amount out.

Don't bother buying it.
