I don’t know if it’s just my memory playing tricks on me, but #dotnet looks more noisy every time I look at it.

It's harder to visually parse the flow of a codebase.

rprouse,

@khalidabuhakmeh @daniel if it is getting that big, I feel the code should be broken out into single responsibility classes like registering dependency injection. Ideally with nicely named extension methods.

I finally got my #rc2014 into a proper case. In the process, I've learned that Santa needs to bring me a drill press for Christmas so I can drill straight lines of holes!

Thanks @rc2014 for the endless possibilities and the hours of nostalgia.

@RenewedRebecca @thomasfuchs I loved my TI-99 4A, but I was young and couldn't afford the extended Basic cartridge so never had access to PEEK/POKE and memory so I was very limited. It was also such a closed system compared to the C64. I think it is that walled garden mentality that led to its failure.

on call at work teaching families about Type 1 #Diabetes and someone decided that we are "glucodivergent" so that's what it's called now I don't make the rules #t1d

rprouse,

@shanselman I'm not sure I can get on board with that since glycodivergence is only a symptom of the root cause, isuldivergence. We may not make the rules but we need to be true to root cause analysis. Or should we go to pancreodivergence? 🤔

Some ideas just clicked together in the right way in my head and I realized something: Eventually on Mastodon I'm going to get told I should try out Linux by someone who was born after the first time I installed Linux

rprouse,

@mcc ah, the memories of Linux in 97. Spending all day recompiling your kernel, hours trying to get the bootloader working, compiling all my apps from scratch. Good times!

Sunday night beers with @Extelec is Dark Drake from Dancing Duck brewery

rprouse,

@rc2014 we were distracted by the beer and didn't notice the not so subtly placed computer 😅

It looks like a variation of the Mini. Please tell us about it!

rprouse,

@rc2014 the dual header and different layout on what looks like a CF module has me very interested 🤔

retrokayla, to Emulation

What are the best out there for assembly and ? I want to dip my toes into them but I don't have the space for any more toys.

rprouse,

@retrokayla Check out Emulator Kit which emulates RC2014 and other homebrew computers, https://github.com/EtchedPixels/EmulatorKit. I also have a simple Z80 emulator for debugging assembly. It supports some CP/M calls. It is designed for debugging not full emulation though. https://github.com/rprouse/Z80Emu
