I don’t know if it’s just my memory playing tricks on me, but looks more noisy every time I look at it.

It's harder to visually parse the flow of a codebase.

@khalidabuhakmeh I agree. In the early days, the cleanness of #dotnet & #csharp was one of its big selling points.

Now a lot of things have been added that might be nice in some situations, but definitely make it harder to read.

@khalidabuhakmeh any particular type of code, or just in general? I've been using version 8 to build some tools at work, and the C# top level namespaces, usings that don't require scope, etc. seemed to help somewhat.

@daniel Yeah it’s the sprawl that happens in the Program.cs once you reach a certain level of complexity it just gets overwhelming with service registrations and configuration.

@khalidabuhakmeh @daniel if it is getting that big, I feel the code should be broken out into single responsibility classes like registering dependency injection. Ideally with nicely named extension methods.

@rprouse @daniel These aren’t always my codebases, just seeing it as a common thing in sample projects and my brain is getting too old to figure this out. I’m a mushbrain dev now.

@khalidabuhakmeh Dont worry its just burn out 🙂

@spingee Burn out happened a long time ago.

I’m in the pile of ashes phase.

Some day I’ll rise like a phoenix, but today is not that day. 😅
