@psycodepath @heiglandreas I don't get it why they're cutting passwords or define a maximum length. With todays hashing algorithms it doesn't matter how long a password is. A maximum length is an indicator for a very bad implementation.

I really miss it in some other programming languages...

@vorlaser Davon bin ich sogar überzeugt. Da man AI quasi noch weiter trainieren kann, wird sie im Schnitt genauso dumm wie die durchschnittliche Gesellschaft. US healthcare is so broken. It's the second-biggest COVID wave so far, and patients have to call individual hospitals to beg them to reinstate masks.

Meanwhile, the Spanish government simply overruled right-wing anti-maskers and made masks required in all hospitals nationwide.

@CindyS @luckytran Are you serious? I'm living in Germany and it's a total mess here. Covid is not mentioned neither tested anymore. Every infection is just called a "cold" 🙄. Government is incompetent and a pile of clowns. The right winged are raising day by day and get more and more followers. Our health care is broken as well and a lot people are sick home. Garbage is some times not picked up because of sickness and much more. It's really a mess.

@s_bergmann Ohhhh the demo scene logo artbook looks promising. I've seen some examples in the web when it was in Kickstarter (?). Once I've also made a Logo for Tristar a couple of years back. Unfortunately all my hard drives broke when I bought a new (wrong soldered) power component for my PC. I hope one day I get back the data because the PCBs broke before the drives started to turn.

@ramsey Oh damn! And here in Germany we're searching for good PHP devs. Most of them are already employed or don't want to switch companies. But since the pandemic more and more companies here are also open for full remote work. Maybe you could try this?

Musicians! Do you listen to your own music? I feel like there's an unfair faux pas put on listening to your own music for some reason. I think it's ridiculous. I like my music. I like listening to it. I made it full of things I like.

Do I hear things I wish I had done better? Sure. But at this point, I mix my own music, and @ajroach42 plays it everywhere, so I'm used to hearing my own voice, and I enjoy my music. I'm happy when I hear it playing.

@vorleser Ha, cool. Wir haben auch just gestern Prime gekündigt. Und nein, das ist nichts, was nötig ist. Bei Prime ist immer mehr nur noch zusätzlich zum Leihen oder kaufen gewesen und das Zeugs, was inklusive war, ist größtenteils Müll. Bestellen tun wir auch kaum noch was dort. Vieles, was wir aktuell schauen, kommt meistens aus den Mediatheken der öffentlich rechtlichen Sender.

i worked on a song on sunday within the limitations of the .XM mod format, so one note column per channel, no resonant filters, no effects, no vst plugins or instruments, no eq or compression, and it felt so freeing to simply work with mono samples and loops I had sampled or generated, finding fun ways to sequence them and let the samples be expressed in different ways, constantly moving forward with new ideas. No noodling 🍜

@protman I had a Gravis Ultrasound Extreme back then with 512kb memory. The sound quality between it and a generic Soundblaster was tremendously better. Unfortunately I don't have any hardware left from the past.
