    Just got a trackball mouse to try out for a bit, instead of my usual ergonomic 'handshake' position mouse. Hoping my thumb doesn't start hurting from all the thumb movement I have to do now! Also, hoping I get better at pointing at stuff because I'm finding it hard to actually click stuff atm. sure that'll come with practice tho

    Sektori (week 134): 🌈 mode finished and I think we are very near calling the main mode gameplay feature complete (with some caveats about the bosses). Just a lot of iteration left! Not sure what to work on next, I guess I should clean up my notes first.

    All I hope is that all the layoffs this year help people in the industry to make the right decision to unionize, join unions and join together to start pushing these asshole game companies to give them better contracts, better working conditions and less opportunities to fuck them around.

    I still find it amazing that I can even own a 10 TERRABYTE hard drive. It's just silly numbers my tiny human mind cannot comprehend. Still feels sort of science fiction to me to be able to have all that data on something less than room size!

    @wildrikku Yeah that's a really good point, actually! I don't think it was. I think by the time we were storing gigabytes, the tech was much much smaller wasn't it? I've never seen anything more than megabytes when it comes to tech the size of a room!

    And no, not chocolate digestives. Just the regular ones. And don't answer if you don't like them because that will skew this otherwise perfect scientific study.

    @llamasoft_ox As if it's not bad enough I have to thank the cows every time I have a malted milk, now I'm not allowed to eat the sheep biscuits? I never realized how stressful eating biscuits actually was. There are a lot of rules! I mean, I would say I'll fight them for it but I've seen how violent your sheep are, so I don't think I want to get into that! 😖🐏

    @RethinkJeff Yeah it’s great, I wonder how big the category will be/ how the promoters will treat it tho. Just hope it doesn’t get pushed aside away from all the main coverage.

    @RethinkJeff For WRC, if you don't have any tv channels that show WRC (like me) then when a rally is on you can get daily highlights free on RedBull.tv - there's a redbull.tv app for tvs, or you can watch it through the browser. There is also a rally subscription service called rally.tv where you get European Rallycross, WRC and ERC (European Rally) but it's pretty expensive for what you get and they don't even have an app yet. I watch WRC on a Red Bull TV app on my telly. It's free so why not?

    With the WRC dropping hybrid cars in favour of synthetic fuels, of course all the dickheads are out to hark on about the ‘good old days’ of rally when drivers were real drivers(!) and rally cars were real cars that used proper fossil fuels. They dig out all kinds of stats warped to show how any attempt at environmentalism is somehow worse than burning fossil fuels and nod along with each other about it. No time for em. Bunch of ‘car guy’ fascists.

    @glassbottommeg They say they are EVENTUALLY, but not yet. FIA Rally Cross has gone fully electric, but WRC is moving to fully synthetic fuels (no fossils yay!) next year, with a 'view' to going fully electric some unspecified time in the future.

    @glassbottommeg WRC does seem to be doing a lot to try and be better on the environmental side, which is good to see. The current cars are hybrid, which was good but expensive hence ditching them this year. Synthetic fuel seems to be coming along well, but I wonder what impact that'll have on farming/land/other stuff outside of just not using fossils.. I don't really know much about that side of it. Apparently a lot of it is byproduct, but its hard to know how much is real and how much is spin!
