@Lundemo@StillIRise1963@wendinoakland@IveyJanette Registered voters, particularly young and nonwhite ones, generally blame Joe Biden, personally, for everything bad that has ever happened or is happening, including inflation and the war in Gaza, and, in some cases, things that are demonstrably not his fault, such as five Republican-appointed Supreme Court justices overturning Roe v. Wade. https://apple.news/A-IL7k6Z9TbCtzXj3jF51eA
@plink@palestine@israel@SteveSilent As Cornell faculty members, we are outraged by the University administration’s suspension of six students who participated in the Gaza Solidarity Encampment. The six suspended students have represented the encampment in conversations with the Administration. The Cornell administration has targeted these students specifically for being the alleged leaders of student protests. It has unilaterally and summarily imposed this retaliatory sanction without any due process. LIEBERWITZ | Faculty Petition Against Student Suspensions https://cornellsun.com/?p=15253963
#Boston-area Jews and allies are here at the #MIT encampment with MIT Jews for Ceasefire, uplifting students’ demands, singing for Palestinian liberation, and calling for an enduring ceasefire.
@QasimRashid Cornell faculty members have become involved with the protest, with some delivering speeches and canceling their lectures. Professors have also played a role in providing more active support for protestors, engaging in discussions with the administration, giving demonstrators supplies and participating in the encampment. @TheConversationUS@histodons After World War II the French persisted with what can only be called fake history or national amnesia in which their collaboration during the 1940-1944 German Occupation and the outrages of the Vichy Government under Marshall Phillippe Pétain were suppressed if not forgotten. Paris was very slow to understand that it lost stature after WWII because of its complicity and collaboration during the Occupation and that the center of the art world had shifted to New York to which many artists and dealers had emigrated in response to French behavior during the Occupation.
