Another book done for my book challenge this year. A somewhat creepy magical realism novel translated from Korean. It takes on topics of gentrification and poverty quite well, but subtly, despite its short 150 page length. It was quite good.

Back in the bloodletting room. Wife peed in the cup before she was supposed to pee in the cup and messed up everything. 🤷‍♂️ Spent a long time with the 内科 doc. Getting blood tests for lots of strange things like connective tissue disorders. Get to go to the 免疫内科 on Friday.

It has cooled off recently but sunny and 21°C today, a fine day to go see the ginkgo trees at Kishimojin-do in Zoshigaya, Tokyo.

Includes the second largest ginkgo tree in Japan, 32.5m high, a designated natural monument of Tokyo.

The English dub trailer for 'The Boy and the Heron' is out and my mouth literally hung open for the whole trailer as I gasped in amazement. If somebody told me all the original Japanese voice actors were also doing the dub, I could be convinced.

What an amazing job. Absolutely stunning.

My first game credit is now out in the wild! What a whirlwind of a year and a huge privilege to have directly supported the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 team.

I didn't know the series before, but we've become intimate friends over the months and I don't think I could possibly love it more at this point. Really pleased.
