One day I'll manage to stay up until midnight (already a very late night for me), but this is nearly 11 pm in Scottish summer. You could easily see your way without streetlights. A very peaceful, bluetoned twilight.

My absolute favourite time of year. These long days will never not be magical.

Getting your game on the Fortnite Homebar is no small thing. And you get there by building a game that people enjoy and consistently play. Also, number 2 in 'People Love' this morning.

I know how hard my daughter worked, and it's amazing to see that work paying off.

Very proud mum.

Their game is Slime Tycoon and it's rated for ages 10 and up if you or your kids would like to play.

@cedricdes I had no idea about it until my daughter taught me. There are elements I don't like, but the creative games can be really fun.

Drystone today in a rather lush garden. Working on a retaining wall built from Yorkshire sandstone. Building on a curve with really straight edged stone is always a challenge. As is my mosquito/midge allergy during Scottish summers.

The basic principle of a retaining wall is that the wall's depth should be roughly the same as its height. So a 1m high wall extends back 1m into whatever it is retaining.

My kid has been unwell for 2 years (Long Covid), & watching her dealing with so many ups and downs & pacing herself whilst still learning & creating has been so impressive. She's doing well as a beekeeper, and now she's working with a friend to make Fortnite creative maps.

If you or your kids play Fortnite (the game is rated age 10 and up), search 'Slime Tycoon' for the most chill, fun, and wholesome gameplay experience.

I'm so sorry to hear this! Long covid is just one of the many negative outcomes caused by Covid. And truthfully, it could be a more specific diagnosis for my daughter, but it's so hard to untangle, especially with no access to medical professionals knowledgeable enough to help.

I really hope your kiddo is doing OK? It's very tough as a parent to watch our kids go through these things. Much love to you all x

@Alikat747 definitely! But this geomagnetic storm was so powerful that the aurora was seen as far south as Florida and the Bahamas!

Well, if this isn't one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen...

This stone isn't finished yet, but it felt particularly important to see it as it was being carved.

Urdu, the language of my grandfather, memorialised in Scottish sandstone. And somehow, within the words, within the stone his presence and his experiences memorialised too.

@theappletree it's part of a public art project called Remembering Together. I came up with the concept but found a stone mason to do the lettering which requires so much skill. Just beautiful work.

First of the memory stones for Remembering Together Kinross has been completed by Douglas Stevens Stone. Here it is looking beautiful by evening window light.

'mindin, mair strang nor stane' is the Scots translation of 'memory, stronger than stone'.

@jonasvautherin It's the insulation we keep on the hives over winter. Temperature just got consistently high enough in Scotland to remove it.
