I think I really need to give this app a try. I'm ashamed to say #Twitter is my favorite app. I am so active on there, and I have so many friends. But today, I got this..

I have never in my lifetime had any of my social media accounts suspended.. EVER..

Ever since Elon took over, the app has gradually gone downhill. He promotes hate and filters #trans and #lgbtq people through algorithms..

I'm at a loss here.. This was a real context in a toot. I didn't screenshot it or expose the writer. That's what they do on Twitter, and it's not my style..

I just want to be clear. Racism and hate are learned behaviors. You can be white and not racist. You can be white and exposed to racism and choose not to be a racist.

I transitioned during a time when trans expression was kept at a minimum and only within trusted people. I'm glad to see that that has changed, for the most part. But as a reminder..

Trans people can be proud of their body.
Trans people can be attention whores.
Trans people can post all the selfies they want.
Trans people can like sex and be open about it.
Trans people can date or form friendships with who they want without shame.
Trans people are human. 🏳️‍⚧️

So me!! I love my voice now because it's me. Like many trans women, it was an expectation to voice train, and if you didn't, there was an opinion of many that you were not "trans enough," or an "imposter." This was so much so that I never spoke on social media because of it. Out of shame..
