OK, Duolingo! Why can I not translate "Er zitten tweeenvijftig weken in een jaar" (Dutch) as "There are fifty-two weeks per year", and must use "in a year"?

@derickr @MarkBaker I'm pretty sure many native Dutch people will mix both ways in a story. Which is a bit odd as weeks are not actually sitting. Like you can pack toast in a box.
Er zitten 52 crackers in een doos. (Dutch) for example. Which you would never say like "Er zijn 52 crackers in een doos".

But I'm not sure if there are rules about this.

I used Phoenix, then Firebird, then Firefox. When Chrome came out, it was when Google was still young, and it was a breath of fresh air. Then it became bloated, and I went back to FF... until things would stop working.

I have largely given up on Chrome, but I've often used Chrome-based browsers, as so much of the web refuses to work outside that engine. Brave was my daily driver for the past few years, but the crypto BS and my aversion to Eich had me try others recently. 1/x

@shochdoerfer @mwop it will be solved when we are at the end of the chrome period. Remember how much fun it was back in the days with internet explorer? I refuse to use any chrome based browser. Happy with firefox.

I now have a mobile phone again and my old numbers restored, but of course I've lost all my contact numbers and WhatsApp chats, etc; and it will take a while to get all my apps installed and configured again.

@wyri k3s is running stable here.. so maybe it's the cable. But I'm running k3s on a Intel machine with 2 raspberry pi nodes. I'm looking for replacement of the Intel machine, it's a bit overkill for what I need 🫣

@ramsey @Crell it is interesting that you both had some options to get some courses on this but I didn't. We all agree that documentation is important for developers, but nobody is teaching us to write it properly.

The more I think about this, the more I understand this is a gap in our world. Which makes me want to learn about the good practices of writing good documentation.

@ramsey thanks, that's not the direction I was searching for information. But it could be an interesting field for search. Language studies, not directly my point of interest, but maybe I have to revisit my opinion on that.
