I wonder if the landlord has me on the wrong mailing list or something (or just everybody), because we got a note two weeks ago about painting in the main hallway for the next two weeks and to please use the back stairs for this time period and... they've just not been doing it here. They've been working on another set of apartments for the whole two weeks.

all right, somebody i knew from church way back in the day is either out as gay or (less plausibly) she's really, really cool with it. she was endorsing this book, which looks okay and interesting but not my genre: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/209563856-gay-the-pray-away anyway, good for her, but yeah the whole religious trauma aspect is unfortunate

Conservatives realizing that the overbroad police powers they've been pushing can be used against them is nice, hopefully if they do succeed in pushing back it leads to broader reforms instead of just the single special case of protecting their preferred felon. Unfortunately that's a pipe dream.

@InternetEh the annoying thing is that they always focus on the spectacle and never the substance, which is why the Mueller report, which was extremely damning, failed to make a splash
