And don’t point me to Hugo or Netlify or Eleventy or all those things - all of them are great, but none of them are simple enough. Herbin Bleu des profundeurs

Staying with the sea, this “deep ocean blue” is on its face a true midnight blue, but there is a hint of gold sheen only seen at certain angles. Shading minimal, unlike other inks in this color range such as Pilot Shin-kai or Sailor Yonaga.

Certainly a good choice for a midnight blue with some depth to it (pun intended).

Diamine Purple Rain (Deutschland exclusive)

A lovely dark purple with black-gold sheen. Similar to Purple Bow from 2019 Inkvent but a bit darker, closer to black and could easily be mistaken for black in an office setting. I think this makes for a great high-contrast writing ink even in fine nibs.

@senzapretese @maffeis non sono così facilmente irritabile, prima di sfanculare preferisco la ritirata strategica 😂 Io la vedo così: un’app che ha bisogno di personalizzazioni sulla UI è un’app che non ha fatto le scelte giuste o, a parità di giustezza, migliori. Se le scelte sono giuste, l’utente sta apposto. Sto smanacciare vi rimane addosso causa Android.

@senzapretese @maffeis comunque io non me la piglio coi programmatori se fanno il loro. Se però ti intesti un’app, devi sapere che non è solo codice e non te la spicci solo col backend. Al benemerito @dimillian (bravissimo come sviluppatore) abbiamo rotto le viscere per le grinze di IceCubes. Proprio perché aveva e ha carenze lato utente (UI). Mammoth comunque ha il problema inverso, UI (copiata) meglio del backend.

My Uber driver was on insta watching reels the entire hour+ drive, and then missed the exit at rush hour and added 20 minutes to the trip. AITA if I rate him down for it? I get bored too, but like, damn.

@hacks4pancakes it’s about collective responsibility, not only your driver’s finances. He wasn’t as concerned as you for his kids, how could he be concerned about his passengers (and others) safety? I think reporting such a prick does more good than harm.

Unpopular opinion: If you have a job, you should not use an adblocker. You can actually pay for the premium platforms if you don't want to see ads. Why should the internet be free for you, and why should content creators not get any money if you watch them? I have never used an Adblocker in my life. The free internet is not powered by cotton candy.

@dimillian I agree, more or less, as long as ads do not mess with usability, which happens most of the times. I do use ad blocks, but I'm also using certain sites lesser and lesser, from X to news sites. I'm pondering switching back to paper! Less fuzz. I could be controversial here, but for me one acceptable and rightly done injection of ads is... Instagram. But again, everybody's trying to sell you something there.

Reminder about Mastodon "private" messages. Aside from not being end-end-encrypted (and so visible to instance administrators), they CC anyone @-mentioned ANYWHERE in the body of the message (not just those listed at the start).

They are now called "private mentions" rather than "private messages", but if you don't fully understand the semantics, this behavior may be unexpected and/or cause unpleasant side effects.
