I wonder if there really is that many people who do not realize that replying to a stranger on social media spaces is not like replying to a friend. Strangers are unlikely to be able to interpret tone (so try not to be sarcastic), and being overly familiar is just weird

(this hasn't happened to me much, but I see this a lot when I expand replies on other posts here)

edited to add: this is actually a very general problem. I used to see this a lot on twitter too

"make the world safer" + "aid for Israel" doesn't seem to compute but you know what? I think we just have different definition of world is safer (or I guess we have different definition for "people who matter.")

But in the end, we did what America always does. We rose to the moment, came together, and we got it done
