My personal websites have been hosted by MediaTemple for over 15 years now. Been getting emails that they have been bought out by GoDaddy and that my website will be migrated and hosted by them now. I think the transition is happening in a few days. I want to find a new host, but don't have the time and energy to deal with all that now. Will probably let it go to GoDaddy and deal with moving it if my site stops working or when I get around to redesigning it. 🤷‍♂️

@snazzyq You can do the in-between thing and sign up for the ad plans to save some cash and block them with Pi-hole or NextDNS. I use NextDNS CLI on a Raspberry Pi (could also install on the UDM) to block on VLAN for my streaming boxes. Confirmed works to block the ads on Paramount+, HBO Max, Hulu (I think), Peacock, and Roku Channel.

    I used to frequent the Apple “Town Square (T Square) chat room where every Friday would hold a trivia competition. They would ask various Apple history questions & the first person to answer 5 questions correct first would win.

    I finally won & received a congratulations letter from someone at Apple (presumably) that came in an Apple branded envelope & letterhead along with an Apple logo t-shirt. The t-shirt is long gone. I thought I saved the letter, but I cannot find it.

    Hi! 👋 This is a little less of an #introduction and more of a little look back.

    My username here is the same that I used as my screen name on AOL back in the 90’s when I was a teen.

    I would sign up for a new AOL account, use up the “X Hours Free” and cancel without having to pay anything. I did this many times and hence had several usernames like this (presumably 9 times possibly). The 9th iteration was the final one after AOL customer support caught me and I finally had to start paying.
