Regardless of what happens in the keynote today with calculators, I wanted to say that I’ve been dealing with a serious family health crisis for the last three months, and I’ve spent a lot of that time around hospitals.

So, please don’t add to my stresses today by tagging me in a million things about getting Sherlocked because, genuinely, even if Apple destroys my entire business today, it’s not going to be my biggest concern.

Seems legit…

(What I hate about this stuff. I do actually have an Evri package on the way. So seeing this did give me that momentary pause. Although that the message is from some random outlook.com address meant it was an obvious scam.)

To the macOS SwiftUI experts out there: what’s the proper way to change an app’s Dock menu?

Using the App Delegate method

func applicationDockMenu(_ :) -> NSMenu?

does not seem to work (it doesn’t get called).

My over 13 year old Iomega MiniMax 2TB HDD finally gave out, but I suspected it was just the power supply, not the actual disk inside.
Thankfully, a ~€20 SATA to USB adapter with a power supply brought it back to life, after I crudely extracted it from the Iomega enclosure.

I'm puzzled!

Anyone knows where I get these Finder .app bundle previews from?

These replace the large file icons which I use to drag files out of Finder, but that doesn't work here.

I thought that this is a #Sonoma feature but must actually be a 3rd party app

Just found out that you can hold down the option key (⌥) in open/save dialogs, and in Finder windows, to show the entire path you’re currently in. Neat.
